Take pictures of your new home; from wall to ceiling, inside and out. Such photos can be invaluable in future for insurance and warranty purposes. With today’s digital and cell phone cameras, it couldn’t be quicker.

If buying a resale, change all exterior locks. If you really like the old door hardware, it is possible to change only the keys/locks. A locksmith can assist you with this task.
